    Independent Fire Company, of Doylestown

Here one for the older people here. What was the deal, does anyone have any information on this Station. All I know is the number was 67 and they had a tiller and a tac truck that were red, white and blue.

As I remember it was an ex xhief of Doylestown who along with a few others started Independant Fire and Ambulance of Doylestown. Station 67/Squad 167. There was a tiller/tac/squad behind a body shop off I believe Broad Street in the boro. Way back when I was in the radio room their tones were tested weekly, alhough they never had any assigned area in which to respond. Nor were they recognized by either the Boro or 19's.

I believe it was Carl Hall who started the Independant Fire Co.  He ran a towing business back in the 70's, and did most of the towing for the area police departments.
