Just an FYI, The live feed has been down for 24-48 hrs, since someone "Sport Hacked" my server/computer and network, they also placed a torjan virus too.  So some of you may get an email from me with an attachment (PLEASE DON'T OPEN IT, IT CONTAINS A VIRUS) So I have someone helping me restore things and

    Some "Sport" hacking....wow.

So sorry for the inconvience.  I will post an update later.

Re: testing on line scanner feed

    ah oops,

thought I fixed that too. lets try this again.  The feed is now up and working.  I had the trojan.vundo, trojan.win32:Agent-VGC, trojan.W32:agent.mailserver, trojan.win32.addressbook.VGV and trojan.downloader

Plus the server had all kinds of redirects it would just open websites on its own, open programs on its own send out emails with virus' to all my contacts. it killed my network, websites. it was just bad.

So the feed is currently back up

Re: testing on line scanner feed

that is what I tried it does work, but use the microsoft malware scanner (microsoft.com) first it took 1.5 hrs to scan my computer then after restarting the computer I used superantispyware to finish it up.  It takes awhile but it will work.

Re: testing on line scanner feed

To those of you who are using Foxfire and unable to connect to the live feed please download the windows media player foxfire plugin. I'm told that this MIGHT just solve the problem.  Or just use IE to listen.

Also for those companies that have the live feed link on your web pages, I will changing the address for the link, you will not be able to access the scanner stating this coming friday.  You MUST use the following link and update your web pages http://www.secondalarmfirefilms.com/livescanner.html  This is now the current and active scanner feed link the old will be deleted.

Re: testing on line scanner feed

I wanted to let you know that I listened to the Montco fire online using your live scanned feed via my MAC and it was flawless.  Thanks, I would have hated to have missed it.

I stick with my original statement Tom, thanks for the service you provide. It's great to be able to "plug in" to listen to the action back East from the corn country. Thanks again, it's working great!! Bob.

Re: testing on line scanner feed

I have updated the feed & have placed a link for just Montco on it.  I know there is a problem with Firefox uses, they aren't able to connect we are working on this problem but its taking a really long time to figure what the actual problem is.  I also want to see if there is any interest in mobile apps so you can listen on your phone.  I have also updated the other scanner page and have added several other feeds from around the country, I will continue to update that page too, so if you know of any other feeds that arent on that page let me know and Ill add it.  Let me know if you like the bucks & montco feed separated if I get enough Ill take the montco side down on the Bucks Scanner.

Re: testing on line scanner feed

Also I just wanted to thank everyone for last year.  We had almost 30,000 connections to the feed and so far this year we have more connections in the first 3 months than we did this time last year.  Some connections even have come from over seas.  Most of our overseas connections are coming from Great Britain/China/Russia/Germany.  Also the US Military I get alot of connections.

I would like to see a Blackberry app. Also, now that you have A Montgomery County feed, it would be great to have a feed for just Bucks.

Thanks for making this service available.

Re: testing on line scanner feed

Mobile phone users please contact me.  I need to try out some new software for mobile broadcasting.  The account is FREE that you have to sign up for.  Also make sure you have unlimited bandwidth or its going to cost you.  you can either email me of call me 267-784-0542 and I'll tell you how to get the live feed on your phone.  These are the phones supported BlackBerry, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Motorola, etc. Apple's (non-3GPP-compatible) iPhone is also supported.  Windows Mobile isn't supported, but I'm working on a free program for that.
